ABSTRACT

COVID-19 influences the entire system from the area to the customer, which is significant because the food supply chain (FSC) is a major economic factor. Current FSC challenges have raised concerns about food supply, manufacturing, transportation, and demand. The COVID-19 epidemic limited labor mobility, shifted consumer needs, closed food manufacturing facilities, tightened food trading rules, and strained the FSC’s finances. Because of these issues, FSC risk management aims to protect FSCs against disturbances and provide long-term benefits to all along the value chain. So, this study presents artificial intelligence (AI) approach called multi-link tree-based support vector machine (MT-SVM) for managing risks in FSC. By concentrating on risk mitigation, this paper will be useful to executives in assisting them in developing successful FSCs in difficult times. We conclude that the proposed approach attains the maximum effectiveness in terms of accuracy, precision, f1-score, and recall than existing approaches.
