ABSTRACT

Scheduling tasks is a major problem in the cloud computing setting. An effective task scheduling mechanism may boost the efficiency of a cloud computing system by accommodating the requirements of its users while also guaranteeing the full usage of its resources. To solve this issue, a scheduling algorithm based on dual-strength algorithm- enhanced genetic algorithm (EGA) and bilateral whale optimization (BWO) is proposed. The scheduling ensures that workloads are evenly distributed and that tasks may be completed at a lower cost. The suggested algorithm is compared to state-of-the-art methods through a simulation experiment. Both the efficiency of the scheduling algorithm and the accessibility of the optimization technique are validated by this result. The results show that the suggested work is better to the considered algorithms in terms of makespan, energy consumption, throughput and execution time.
