ABSTRACT

The chapter deals with the study of the propagation of cylindrical blast waves by using the quasi-similarity method in the polytropic dusty gas. The quasi-similarity method is the most useful tool to predict the flow pattern of the blast waves with moderate strength. It is addressed how dust particles affect the behaviour of the flow parameters close to the shock front. Moreover, the calculated numerical solution using the Runge–Kutta method is compared with the results of the acquired solution.
