ABSTRACT
Short sea shipping poses significant problems for all seafarers, particularly for officers employed in oil tanker as the chief officer bears the highest workload. This study examines working times on short sea shipping. This study employs a simulation using the Simio software package to evaluate the effects of voyage time, speed, etc. on ships economy. The results shows time spend in maneuvering, cleaning, maintenance and resting in detail.
