ABSTRACT

The general pavement payment, in current China, is Reject/Accept method, which can not link the construction quality and the final payment. Hence, this report provides a pay adjustment to construction organization based on the real construction qualities. Thus, the payment is tightly related with the construction quality considering the pavement life-cycle cost. The life-cycle cost and analysis models were developed, with which the difference between expected life-cycle cost and real service life can be determined. This difference is announced as the adjustment value in the pavement payment. Afterward, a brief case was carried out to confirm the pay adjustment method provided in this study. Finally, the developing system for pavement payment needs more local surveys in China to obtain provincial payment adjust parameters.
