ABSTRACT
Chopping wounds demonstrate a combination of both blunt and sharp force injuries. A typical weapon used to inflict a chopping injury might be an axe, hatchet, or machete. The sharp cutting edge coupled with the weight of the cutting blade results in a combination of lacerations, incisions, and blunt force trauma.
