ABSTRACT
Leukotrichia is the graying of hair which is usually associated with vitiligo. Some authors use the term synonymously with “poliosis.” Leukotrichia makes a vitiligo lesion appear more obvious, especially when it persists even after repigmentation of the skin lesion. Repigmentation by photochemotherapy is usually difficult in such cases because of a deficient melanocyte reservoir.
