ABSTRACT

Vitiligo is a depigmenting disease characterized by the loss of normal melanin pigments in the skin. The etiology of this disorder is unknown, but autoimmunity is thought to play an important role in the pathogenesis of the disease. Various treatments have been used with varying repigmentation rates until today. This review assesses the efficacity and rational usage of topical vitamin D analog as one of these treatment methods for vitiligo treatment in light of the literature.
