ABSTRACT
Systemic corticosteroids are currently not used as conventional therapy. However, this remains the most important medical therapy to halt the disease progression through their immunosuppressive role. Systemic steroids are not indicated as first-line treatment for vitiligo. However, they are beneficial to arrest the disease progression in rapidly progressing vitiligo and also have some effect in repigmentation of lesions.
