ABSTRACT

Vitiligo surgeries have provided excellent repigmentation. One of their limitations is cost, especially in developing countries. Vitiligo is a disease surrounded in misconceptions and myths, with a significant psychosocial impact. In 2008, Drs. Kacchawa and Kalla had a new idea for vitiligo surgery while performing dermabrasion on a facial scar. They introduced non-cultured, non-trypsinized melanocytes keratinocytes epidermal cell suspension known as the Jodhpur technique, named after the city in which it was first conceptualized.
