ABSTRACT
Despite numerous recent advances in the form of new modalities, treatment in vitiligo remains an unsolved problem. Needling is relatively recent addition, especially for those who are not responding to medical measures, phototherapy, and denies of surgical procedures. The process of pushing of needle into the epidermis is called needling. Its application is in the vitiligo patch, where multiple sites are penetrated by a needle from pigmented area to depigmented area. This micro-pushing drags the epidermal cells with melanocytes, leading to micro-inoculation of melanocyte in the vitiligo patch.
