ABSTRACT
This chapter will focus on the use of pleural procedures for patients with nontraumatic pleural effusion or pneumothorax. A practical overview of the nature, advantages, and complications of each procedure will be provided. The outcomes of these procedures vary with different patient populations and are described in more detail in other chapters.
