to be in existence not only in underdeveloped economies and third world countries, but the menace is very much present in many of the developed economies and in so-called superpowers as well. The psychology of the perpetuators and that of victims will be dwelled upon along with various policies and ideologies related to sexual harassment in various parts of the world as what all behavior will constitute as “sexual harassment,” the legal safeguards for victims and repercussions against perpetuators. The role of human resources (HR) department universally in combating sexual harassment and creating a safe discrimination-free environment will be discussed at length as its scope is all-inclusive and wide reaching for it shoulders the responsibility to manage the most valuable assets for any organization, that is, the HR to ensure overall development of the organization by discussing a few approaches and making some suggestion for creation of a discrimination-free, gender sensitive, productive and absolutely professional work environment to make the world free of menace of sexual harassment.
