ABSTRACT
This paper, from the aspect of architectural conservation and renovation, discusses the transformation of a Chinese traditional mountain village facing the modernization. Through the comparison between the traditional architectures and modern architectures, this paper tries to find the continuity and deformation of the local traditional architectural culture. Rather than criticizing the villager’s spontaneous constructions, it is better to consider their demand of development and give appropriate suggestion.
