ABSTRACT
Nanopiezotronics is a very upcoming area of research. The peizoelctric nanogenerator is used to describe nothing but the energy-harvesting device, and this energy can even come from living beings. It is very interesting to note that even while walking we can generate 67 W. If a small portion of this energy can be converted to electricity, the result can be miraculous.
A ZnO nanowire has a powerful piezoelectric effect, and any microscale device can be powered by the output of multiple nanowires. There are three types of nanogenerator—piezoelectric, pyroelectric, and triboelectric—the operating principles of which are discussed elaborately in this chapter. The application area of each one is different. This chapter mainly focuses on the fabrication of piezoelectric nanogenerator with its application in brief.
