ABSTRACT
This chapter presents an easy-to-use lasers resume. It contains the characteristics of different type of lasers. Also, several tables containing representative examples and properties as well as performance of some continuous and pulsed lasers are given. The basic equations used in the study and design of lasers are also provided. Finally, some of the most relevant laser applications are briefly reviewed such as Doppler velocimetry, laser radar (LIDAR), laser thermometry, applications to the electronic industry, and laser applications to art.
