ABSTRACT
A general presentation of the fixed link across the Great Belt and the considerations behind the lay out. The paper will focus on the tender design of the world record 1,624 m main span suspension bridge over the Eastern Channel, and the basis for the wind loads determined for the design in accordance with 10 years of measurement on Sprogø and wind tunnel testing.
