ABSTRACT

Bunchberry has been increasing in Maine and Canadian wild blueberry fields with the use of the herbicide hexazinone. A nonbearing year Spring application of tribenuron methyl suppressed bunchberry without yield loss to wild blueberry. A combined Spring and Fall application resulted in unacceptable injury to blueberry growth and yield. The use of a surfactant did not improve bunchberry control.
