ABSTRACT
Atrypids are present in all Frasnian brachio-pod faunas of South Timan: most of the fauna is assignable to the family Atrypidae, except possibly for ‘Carinatina’. They are represented by Pseudoatrypa, Desquamatia, Atryparia, lowatrypa, Pseudogruene-waldtia, Radiatrypa, Rugosatrypa, Spinatrypa, Spin-atrypina, and ‘Carinatina’. Most atrypoids inhabited quiet water, muddy substrates; a few dwelled in reefs, e. g. ‘Carinatina’, Radiatrypa, and Desquamatia.
