ABSTRACT
The four compounds having two functional groups (-C=C-, -COOH or -COOR), oleic acid, benzoic acid, dehydroabietic acid and pentadecanedioic acid monomethylester were selectively hydrogenated to the corresponding unsaturated alcohols with Ru/Sn/Al2O3 catalyst prepared by complexing-agent assisted sol-gel method 1 . Catalytic properties of Ru/Sn/Al2O3 were discussed on the basis of XRD observations, hydrogen and nitrogen adsorptions and reaction results.
