ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Effectively meeting long-term sealing requirements for hydraulic structures is a tough assignment. Thanks to intensive research and wide-ranging trials over the last twenty years, great progress has been made in this direction by developing the PP-DAM multi-layer sealing system based on PUR ductile plastic. This innovation is now well-proven in practice, and has largely overcome prejudices against ductile sealing foils. The PP-DAM system optimally prevents alkali-aggregate reactions in concrete, and ensures efficient, cost-effective sealing of concrete dams, earth and rockfill dams, reservoirs, ducting, canals and penstocks.
