ABSTRACT
InGaAs/GaAs surface heterostructures and GaAs/GaAlAs superlattices are investigated by scanning probe microscopy. Different modes of AFM/STM operation are applied to obtain more detailed and verified information. The results are compared with those obtained by other methods. The advantages AFM/STM and some aspects of AFM/STM imaging and contrast in different modes are discussed.
