ABSTRACT
It is of most importance to test the properties of lime-cement columns in order to verify the design values. Normally penetration tests with specially designed penetrometers are used. A valuable compliment is extraction of the whole column making it possible to inspect and test the properties of the whole column both along its longitudinal axes and in cross section. The extracted columns can be tested at the site and in the laboratory.
