ABSTRACT
Lime Cement Columns lack tensile capacity. This is a problem when such columns are used for stability increasing purposes since tensile stresses then occur together with shear stresses. In this paper the Swedish inventor of the Lime Column technology, mr Kjeld Paus, presents a way to increase the capacity for tensile loads for columns by prestressing. Such columns can also be used as anchor elements.
