ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the perspective of product development, the first stage of management is particle processing. In the beginning, a common question comes to mind on the necessity of a topic like particle processing. The particle processing is essential and discussed in three modes, predominately particle generation and characterization, particle mixing and particle scaling up, in the view of either traditional or advanced ceramic processing. Jaw crusher is the main types of primary crushers; it uses compressive force for breaking particles. A primary crusher receives raw material directly and usually breaks the material by means of impact, compression and attrition. Single roll crushers are comprised of a single cylinder to crush the material by compressing it against the stationary outer shell with the rotation of a smooth or teeth-equipped roll and it produces relatively coarser particles. Milling is an important unit operation in particle processing that includes the particle size reduction, separation, sizing or classifying of the resultant materials.
