ABSTRACT
Gynecologic emergencies involving children and adolescents often produce great anxiety to those who do not have a basic understanding of the common situations that can arise. Major categories of gynecologic emergencies include profuse genital tract bleeding, acute abdominal or pelvic pain, and female genital trauma. Genital tract bleeding and acute pelvic pain are covered elsewhere. This chapter focuses on genital trauma and management.
