ABSTRACT

In this study, we focus on active and interactive methods for teaching psychological counseling. We consider future psychologists’ competences, skills, and techniques applied to psychological counseling. We also describe the main stages of psychological counseling, aimed at developing skills for confidential conversation and acquiring certain competences necessary for counseling a client. The course consists of four stages and involves various active and interactive teaching methods, which make it possible to master basic skills, as well as techniques and procedures of counseling.
