ABSTRACT

The urgency of the investigated problem is due to the socio-economic development concept of Russian Federation for the period until 2020, it is noted that socially active, competitive professionals with creative thinking, leadership qualities, taking responsible decisions, are required for a modern society dynamically developing along an innovative path, calculating their possible scenarios in a situation of free, independent choice. The article gives an overview and analysis of approaches to the successful formation of professional and personal leadership qualities of a competitive graduate of a modern university. An interdisciplinary study of developments in the field of social anthropology, sociophilosophy, pedagogical management, management psychology, generalization of the achievements of modern psychological and pedagogical studies of this phenomenon is given, a critical analysis of the eclectic of social and philosophical views and an acute shortage of conceptual unity to the problems of leadership by science and practice are given. It is shown that the most famous was the behavioral approach, based on the basic provisions of which were formulated the factors that contribute to increasing the effectiveness of the formation of competitive leadership behavior of a student at a modern university. A leadership is defined as the mutual influence of the leader and his followers, having a positive impact on each other, working together to achieve effective changes and achieve planned, results-oriented goals. Thus, the formation of leadership qualities of a competitive university graduate can be considered in the context of interdisciplinary integration of behavioral, transactional, motivational leadership theories.
