ABSTRACT

In this article, we present two main directions of foreign tourists in Russia and the ways of their attractions: tourists from the People’s Republic of China (who can travel to Russia by a visa-free mode in a group of five people for up to 2 weeks) and tourists from Western Europe (mainly from Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Belarus). Such a list of European destinations was selected due to the transport access to the capital of Russia, up to 2.5 h, which makes it possible to plan visits to Moscow not only during vacations but also on weekends. Furthermore, we distinguish three main factors of city attractiveness for foreign tourists and analyze them by taking London, Paris, and Prague as examples, with the aim of finding the best tools for qualifying the hospitality industry in Russia.
