ABSTRACT

Iterative methods are used to generate a sequence of approximating a solution of a nonlinear equation. Iterative methods of convergence order higher than two such as Chebyshev-Halley-type methods require the evaluation of the second Frechet-derivative. This chapter present some auxiliary results on majorizing sequence for King-Werner-type methods. It discusses the convergence analysis of King-Werner-type methods and provides numerical examples of King-Werner-type methods.
