ABSTRACT

Can the full value of Earth information be accurately estimated? Is it possible to evaluate the effect that geospatial information has on decisions and their outcomes that affect the protection of life, property, and the environment? To help answer these questions, an international community of social, economic, physical, natural, and management science researchers, the GEOValue community, focuses on developing rigorous methods for estimating the socioeconomic value of geospatial information that is transferable across disciplines and domains.
