ABSTRACT

This chapter proposes a new scheme for digital image scrambling using chaotic flow sequence. It considers the scrambling process by using the chaotic flows instead of using the traditional chaotic scrambling based on chaotic maps. The chapter presents the proposed scrambling algorithm and the simulation results. Image scrambling is a method for digital image encryption by changing the position of the pixels without changing the gray level of the pixel. Arnold's cat map is a system that is used for image scrambling by swapping or changing the pixel poison or coordinates. The experimental result shows that the proposed system has a higher degree of scrambling from the first iteration compared with the traditional scrambling system such as Arnold's cat map. Another advantage of the proposed system is the implementation on equal and nonequal dimension images.
