ABSTRACT

Big data is generally characterized by the four Vs, namely, volume, variety, veracity, and velocity. Volume refers to the large amount of storage space needed for big data. Variety refers to structure of the data. There are three major types, that is, structured, semistructured and unstructured. The huge data set may be highly redundant, and one might need to scan huge quantities of data to extract the essential information from it. Velocity describes the rate of data gathering. Big data typically requires fast data collection speed. Big Data over Wireless Networks (WiBi) scenarios are emerging in various applications like surveillance, data gathering, remote monitoring, Internet of Things, and massive sensing. With big data being collected in various forms, sizes, and rates, the need for a standard form of representing such data arises. Two typical forms used to represent big data are: Big graph, and Big table.
