ABSTRACT

This chapter describes the fundamental factors affecting the development of landslide, studies in depth how the loose accumulation body slope is formed, and proposes the safety improvement measures to ensure safe transportation of the highway. It summarizes the geological structures of the loose accumulation body slope and types of geological hazards on the basis of field investigations. The main principle of subgrade design in the loose accumulation body slope section is to avoid major hazards, eradicate minor hazard and prevent secondary hazards. Landslide mass consists of typical slope and residual sediments of Quaternary Period, taking on loose structure of rock mass, which is large in porosity, high in compression property, and high in water permeability. Landslide of the loose accumulated body occurs in different positions and unstable slope occurs in one position in total. The deformation of the secondary landslide is mainly presented by sliding degree, a long-term continuous activity deformation.
