ABSTRACT

The process simulation software HYSYS is used to analyze the main factors that have an effect on the light hydrocarbon recovery rate, and then to determine the optimum parameters including the operating temperature, operating pressure, treatment capacity, and water cut in the stabilization system. The light hydrocarbon recovery rate is one of the crucial factors affecting the efficiency and energy consumption of the stabilization process, which is determined by parameters such as operating temperature, pressure, and water cut in the crude stream from electric dehydrator into a stabilizer. High-energy consumption and low efficiency operation have become serious problems in the stabilization system, which affect the efficiency of the whole oil and gas processing system. The negative pressure stabilization technology is the main method used for achieving crude stabilization in the oil field, which has been successfully employed at the combination station in Chinese oilfields.
