ABSTRACT

Energy is the material base of human activity, so energy shortage and environmental pollution have become two major problems facing the development of China. In response to the proposition of energy saving, environmental protection, and reducing emissions, countries all over the world including China are accelerating the development of nuclear energy. Uneven distribution of air and pulverized coal is a major problem in the coal powder conveying system of utility boilers, which may pose pulsating combustion in the hearth. This chapter analyzes the equilibrium problem in the direct blowing pulverizing system of high-capacity utility boilers. Uneven distribution of air-pulverized coal refers to the following two conditions: different air-pulverized coal assigned to each nozzle and uneven distribution of pulverized coal due to the cross section granularity in a single nozzle. The resistance of pulverized coal pipe includes friction resistance, local resistance, increased loss of pulverized coal, and so on.
