ABSTRACT
Leisure tourism is developed in full swing in China at present, but the phenomenon of homogenization is widespread. Suburb leisure tourism development in Sichuan Xinjin Huayuan Town is applied as an example for description, thereby providing reference for suburb leisure tourism development in western Sichuan forest disc and even suburb tourism development in the whole country. Novel development mode of suburb tourism can change the situation in western Sichuan forest disc. Ecological intelligence in Western Sichuan forest disc should be used in suburb leisure tourism fully. The relationship between people and nature as well as between design and site should be coordinated in design. Residential environment with sustainable development, adapting to surrounding environment, should be constructed in suburb leisure tourism development. Suburb leisure tourism planning has the core of controlling landscape image. Rural landscape image and local context features of the project lot are summarized through analysis.
