ABSTRACT

This chapter analyses the components composition of the topological structure in order to obtain directly and accurately the distribution characteristics of temperature field and the temperature of main elements of rectifier cabinet for nuclear power generating stations. It discusses the loss of main components, and the thermal resistance and heat dissipation effect of the radiator. The chapter considers the overall layout of the device and fan selection, and proposes the 450 kVA physical model. If the way of the heat dissipation is blocked, it will seriously affect the safe operation of rectifier cabinet for nuclear power generating stations. The external temperature of the rectifier cabinet is set 40°C, and then, the output power is the maximum power output. The operating process of ANSYS software in handling such thermal problems is summarized. It can be seen from the simulation results that the surface temperature of the main heating elements is in the scope of the maximum allowable temperature requirements.
