ABSTRACT
Most enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems still use manual entry or mass upload methods to enter the data collected from the warehouse. These methods are highly unreliable and prone to manual error affecting the data accuracy. High data accuracy and current data are required by the business for many critical decisions. Invalid data will have a negative performance impact on the ERP system and also lead to economic loss to the organization. AutoID technologies are used to track and collect data in real time. They can also be integrated with ERP system to provide a live update, reducing the data’s inconsistency. In this research, it is hypothesized that by integrating AutoID technologies into the ERP system, the data accuracy and reliability can be increased significantly utilizing live data update. The expected results are that the AutoID technologies will improve the ERP system data accuracy and reliability and provide huge cost savings.
