ABSTRACT

This chapter provides foundational knowledge and approaches to measuring the variability of processes in Global Supply Chain Engineering[Sundar1]. In this text, we introduce the varying levels of analysis by contextualizing the Lean Six Sigma levels of the student. In general, the yellow belt level refers to undergraduate students, green belt is correlated to Master’s students and or advanced engineering undergraduate students with exposure to advanced statistics (industrial engineering, operations management and operations engineering), and black belt is synonymous to PhD students, graduate engineering students, and industrial experts with extensive training or experiences.
