ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research is to find an implementation model of integration of employability skills into vocational education, especially the three aspects of the most dominant skills which graduates of vocational education must have, namely, those needed by industry such as personal qualities, and basic and interpersonal skills. The research method used was the Research and Development model with analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. The results showed that the conceptual model of integration of employability skills into vocational education to build attitudes and behaviors of learners must be comprehensively implemented by using an approach of Action-Oriented Learning (AOL), through learning in the classroom, and practice in the laboratory or workshop. In addition, practice in the industry is controlled through debriefing and the common perception of teaching staff in relation to the aspects and assessment of employability skills, and managed jointly between educational institutions and industry.
