ABSTRACT

In recent days human resource quality is still a problem that still requires further improvement in Indonesia. The skill mismatch is still a dominant problem between the world of education and the world of work. In Indonesia the role of vocational education is highly vital to improving quality of labor. This study discusses how the vocational learning is oriented to match the skills required by the world of work. There are three important aspects to improve learning orientation, which are to understand the changes in vocational learning, job skills required by work and TVET teachers’ ability needed to improve their vocational learning to be more effective.
