ABSTRACT

Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) which is regarded as the material basis for the soil fertility is a hot topic in the current study of the global carbon cycle and climate change problems. Land use change could make the surface coverage change directly, so it is the important driving force for terrestrial ecosystem carbon cycle. The complex natural environment makes the soil extremely sensitive to land use changes in the karst area. On the basis of a lot of reading literature, this paper outlines the influence of land use ways including Forestland, Grassland and Farmland change on SOC in typical karst area, and also analyzes the driving factors of SOC. On this basis, we put forward the research trend which is about the effect of land use change on SOC in the karst area of China.
