ABSTRACT

China is a major mining and consuming country. Mining and utilization of mineral resources is bound to have a serious impact on regional land ecological security while promoting national economic development. In this paper, the mining city of Wu’an is used as an example, the “Pressure-State-Response” (PSR) model is adopted based on the land use data and the statistical data of national economy and social development, 23 evaluation factors are selected by using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) from three aspects of land ecological security pressure, state and response. The evaluation index system of PSR model is established, the weight of each index is determined by the entropy method. The ecological security value and safety level of the study area are defined based on its background value. Land ecological security status in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014 of this area is evaluated, and the corresponding ecological security status is determined. The results show that the land ecological security value of Wu’an in 2006 is 0.3938, which is in a less secure state, and the land ecological security values of 2008, 2010, 2010 and 2014 are respectively 0.5096, 0.5716, 0.5834 and 0.5326, all in critical safety level.
