ABSTRACT

Nowadays people live in a fairly aggressive environment, where enhanced noise background is one of the harmful factors to affect human organisms. Organization of effective sound absorption is of great practical interest. Plates made of a homogeneous material, which are easy to produce and cost effective, are extensively used. The present article investigates sound-absorbing properties of a homogeneous cantilevered plate affected by plane harmonic sound wave. The result is the possibility to show how the sound absorption factor is related to frequency of the ingoing wave.
