ABSTRACT

Traumatic brain injury is often associated with cognitive impairments, which may be transient, long lasting, or permanent. Positive neuropsychologic outcome can be a result of a set of factors related directly to neural trauma and those that ensue after. Timely evaluation of these is thus imperative to plan psychosocial and cognitive rehabilitation to ensure functional independence.
