ABSTRACT
Bioinspired magnetic nanoparticles are of considerable interest for their biomedical applications. In this chapter, we review the recent progress in biomineralization and bioinspired synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles and highlight their applications in early diagnosis and therapy of tumours. Furthermore, future prospects for this highly interdisciplinary and rapidly developing field are discussed.
