ABSTRACT

Research is the field of the analysis and new findings which remain unsolved previously; in search for new things, we often replace some old parts with the new thing to get the hybrid species. Corrosion inhibition is the process to control the corrosion with the help of some inhibitors and these inhibitors can be synthetic or natural ones. This chapter presents the need and necessity of corrosion inhibitors for the upgradation of the environment. A green inhibitor is the prior choice to protect the environment due to its economic availability and renewability. In search of more potent corrosion inhibition hybrid species, researchers worked intensively and introduced the use of nanocomposites in the field of corrosion inhibition. Nanocomposites are solid materials that have many phase domains and at least one of these domains has a nanoscale structure. These materials can have novel chemical and physical properties that depend on the outer surface and the internal characteristics of the component matter. Naturally and easily available material and polymer, like carbohydrates, fats and proteins, make hard composites such as calcite bones, shell and wood; these are made by the mixing of two or more particles and at least one of them is in the nanoscale. The application of nanocomposites as anticorrosive materials showed promising results and effective inhibition.
