ABSTRACT

The situation of Submerged Floating Tunnel (SFT) subjected to various loads is complicated, it would be more complex if involving traffic loads. In order to find the appropriate method to simulate the traffic loads in SFT, the simulated formula of traffic loads is carried out in this paper. This formula borrows the experiences from the researches of traffic loads for roadway and railway, several influence factors are taken into account in the formula, such as static loads, road roughness, velocity of vehicle and external incentive loads. Then this paper investigates the characteristics of simulated traffic loads and the impacts on dynamic response of SFT structure due to different simulation of traffic loads. The results reveal that the simulation which proposed in this paper is more reasonable to calculate the traffic loads of SFT in a certain extent.
