ABSTRACT

This paper proposes a method of structural sensitivity and reliability analysis based on the reliability calculation method by using integration of Latin hypercube sampling(LHS) and one-order second-moment method, then a cable-stayed bridge with multi-cable system is analyzed by using the method. (1) The number and type of the random variables used in the reliability analysis are determined by reliability analysis and sensitivity analysis. (2) The analysis model is established to analyze the sensitivity and reliability of the parameters. (3) The reliability analysis results are compared to verify the correctness of the method. The feasibility of this method is proved by analyzing a 12-story frame structure, the method is applied to sensitivity and reliability analysis of a cable-stayed Bridge. The influence of materials and external factors is considered and the initial tensioning cable force is seen as random variable to carry out the analysis, that have a significant meaning on cable tensioning scheme optimization of cable-stayed bridge.
